This innovation project addresses the public problem of poor management of the bike lane network in the city of Lima, which makes it impossible for cyclists to carry out safe and constant mobility through the city, since the bike lanes are located disjointed and in poor condition. Among the main causes of the public problem, there is a higher priority for investment in infrastructure for the use of the automobile, poor delimitation of the competencies of the key actors, and reduced state coordination mechanisms. Given this, the aim is to create a digital platform called “Digital inter-institutional articulation work table for the management of the bicycle lane network in the city of Lima“, which aims to improve intergovernmental and inter-institutional articulation on the management of the bicycle lane network in the city of Lima. The digital platform proposes a mechanism for interaction between state actors, civil society, international agents and citizens. As a product of this work table is proposed the elaboration of the “Inter-institutional Management Plan of the Bikeway Network“, which seeks to establish strategic routes for the adequate management of the bikeway network. Finally, this innovation project would be accepted among the key actors, and with competence, in the management of the bike lane network in Lima, it would be feasible as long as the technical and administrative capacity of the Urban Transport Authority was evaluated, and viable as soon as the budget analysis of the project.
