HLC Ingeniería y Construcción SAC, founded in 2000, is a company that provides comprehensive solutions to its clients, including metallurgical studies, study development and engineering, supply and manufacture of metalworking structures, as well as special equipment, construction and commissioning for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) type projects, for the mining-metallurgical, oil & gas and industrial sectors and others. All operations are backed by certifications from integrated management systems such as the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and approval of suppliers by the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (ICONTEC). To identify the main problem, interviews were carried out with the general management and the heads of the area, determining that the main problem is the Deficient production capacity that increases the deadline of engineering and construction projects. For this purpose, it was observed that the main root causes are related to deficiencies in strategic management, continuous inspection in the flow of operations and insufficient installed capacity. In addition, the external and internal analysis was carried out, as well as the literature review that served as a basis to propose improvement alternatives, such as: strategic orientation matrix, increase the capacity of machines for manufacturing, integral control panel and integral system cost management. For the financial evaluation, the project is viable, obtaining results for three scenarios (optimistic, realistic and pessimistic). The following are results of financial indicators for the main (realistic) scenario: Internal Economic Rate of Return (EIRR) of 87.14%, Net Economic Present Value (NPV) of S /. 2,585,004.67 and Discounted Payback Period of 1.52 years.
