The present research conducts an analysis of the Justification of the System based on the relationship between Political Ideology, the expression of Legitimacy and the perception of Procedural and Distributive Justice in Peruvian citizens of legal age in Metropolitan Lima. For this purpose, a quantitative correlational study was carried out (n=307), which analyzed the relationship between the mentioned variables. The results obtained indicate that Political Ideology, Justice and Legitimacy not only interact and relate to each other, but that this relationship varies according to the characteristics of each assigned study condition. First, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between Political Ideology variables such as RightWing Authoritarianism (RWA) and Social Dominance Orientation (SDO) and Legitimacy, where this relationship can be direct or inverse depending on the type of Treatment (High or Low procedural justice). Second, the results of the linear analyses showed that, within the models used to explain Legitimacy, Justice and SDO turned out to be significant predictors, while RWA does not directly influence Legitimacy, unless it includes Procedural Justice as a mediating variable. On the other hand, SDO and Justice turned out to be covariates that explain Legitimacy from the Outcome (Sanction or Warning). Finally, the Legitimacy model proposed by McLean (2019) was successfully reviewed in the Peruvian population, which consists of the Procedural Justice Scale (PJS), the Distributive Justice Scale (DJS), and the Legitimacy Scale (LS).
