a profundidad.
In the Andean music scene there are musics that are called traditional and others called nontraditional, however, the limits with which these terms are defined are not totally clear. For this reason, this research seeks to reflect on how the traditional and the non-traditional are understood from a pragmatic perspective. That is why it is studied how the traditional and the non-traditional is perceived by the musicians who plays bandurria from San Pablo in the music with this musical instrument. Likewise, it seeks to find out which elements are perceived as traditional and nontraditional through the laboratory participants. Instruments such as the field notebook, in-depth interviews and in-depth surveys are used in this research. It is concluded, through the analysis of the results of the in-depth survey, that the idea of traditional cannot be conceptualized as a static entity, but that the idea of the traditional changes over time; also, that each individual subjectively defines traditional and non-traditional from their personal experience, that is why a musical fragment can be classified as traditional by some and non-traditional by others. It is also found that, during the perception process, the subjects evaluate a series of elements to classify the music between traditional and non-traditional, some being more relevant than others.
