This research sought to know the successes and deficiencies of the Pedagogical Accompaniment strategy of the multigrade primary IIEE of the province of Huaral, Lima, during 2019, analyzing the perception of accompanied teachers and pedagogical companions about its design and implementation, to propose improvement measures that strengthen the strategy. Thus, it was found that the implementation of the strategy does not contribute to the achievement of its objectives because the pedagogical companions are not correctly implementing the activities designed by the strategy and because the teachers are not being well informed about the purpose of these activities; Both aspects contribute to a misinterpretation of the purpose of the strategy, causing teachers to perceive it as an evaluation not related to training. Likewise, it was found that teachers do not consider the strategy as valuable or useful for their teaching practice and, rather, consider it as an unprofitable investment of the State. They request actions that directly provide them with some kind of benefit in improving their teaching practice, such as training, direct strategies, demonstration classes, shared classes, or on-site correction during sessions that tell them what to do and how to do, as opposed to the objectives of the strategy and its reflective critical approach that seeks to be the teacher, with the support of the companion, who reaches the answers; in addition to extensive training on the new National Curriculum for Basic Education. These demands show that they are trying to make up for what initial teacher training has not given them; however, the Pedagogical Accompaniment strategy is not designed for that and, rather, requires that teachers have previously developed certain capacities to achieve successful implementation.
