This article presents a review of the state of the art on the benefits that infants obtain when establishing an affective relationship of secure attachment with their caregiver during their first three years of life, reflected in different areas of their lives. This research has been carried out with the objective of identifying how secure attachment favors children during their early childhood throughout their lives in the cognitive, emotional and social area. For this, various sources of information have been consulted, analyzed and classified, these vary from theses, research articles and books. The age of the sources considered is a maximum of 15 years old. The structure of the work consists of three sections that narrate the benefits of secure attachment in early childhood. The first benefit deals with how the affective bond influences cognitive development and academic performance, enhancing their development. The second benefit refers to how the significant adult reinforces self-esteem and security in the life of a child, this is due to the fact that it provides a stable affective bond. The last benefit refers to how interpersonal relationships are, the new affective bonds and the communication skills of the infant that he establishes throughout his life. In the investigation, it was found that children who have a stable secure attachment have a positive and beneficial development in the intellectual, emotional and social aspect.
