Within the Peruvian educational system, a significant gap emerges in the technical preparation of engineering students, particularly in the field of industrial automation. The lack of alignment between academic knowledge and the skills demanded in the industry has generated difficulties for graduates when trying to integrate into real work environments. The proposed solution consists of the implementation of a training module dedicated to industrial automation, designed after an exhaustive market analysis that considers the specific demands of the sector in Peru. The central objective of this training module is to provide students with practical experiences and skills directly applicable in specific work environments. The evaluation of critical hypotheses supports the viability of the solution: students and educators surveys indicate a solid interest and positive perception about the usefulness of the module, practical tests confirm its effectiveness, and consultations with potential clients demonstrate willingness to purchase it. The financial analysis projects a constant growth of net profit, supporting the financial sustainability of the project, a net present value (NPV) of $1’065,939.01 is estimated. The proposal contributes to sustainable development by aligning with SDG 4 and SDG 9 and a Social Net Present Value (SNP) of $2’435,183.05 has been calculated. These results not only support the financial viability of the project, but also highlight the long-term positive social impact. It is strongly recommended to move forward with the implementation of the industrial automation training module in educational institutions in Peru, highlighting its benefits both for students, improving their employability, and to strengthen the connection between education and industry in the country. As a result, a good decision is the immediate and continuous implementation of the project.
