The present study aimed to know the construction of masculine identity in trans men from Metropolitan Lima. The research was of a qualitative approach and hybrid analysis. Fifteen people identified as trans men participated, who underwent a semi-structured interview. Subsequently, the data analysis was carried out with the Atlas.ti 9 software. Starting from the analysis of the information, a first identification with the socially known as masculine from childhood was found, which is accompanied by an uncertainty throughout the identification process. This influences the understanding of the concept of gender, masculinity and femininity, since they are debated and questioned. It is concluded that there is a process of deconstruction of a hegemonic and patriarchal masculinity, and a subsequent re-construction of one's own masculinity.
