The present project was developed with the aim of addressing two significant social issues. Firstly, it seeks to benefit low-income alpaca-raising families in the city of Ayaviri, Melgar province, in the Department of Puno. It proposes a viable and sustainable business model in which our tourism agency, PAQU, will bring tourists to their homes to engage in experiential tourism and have experiences with alpacas, paying them a price per tourist above the market rate. Secondly, it aims to provide innovative tourist packages to tourists, especially European tourists who are particularly interested in experiential tourism and alpaca experiences in the high Andean regions of Peru, specifically in Ayaviri, Melgar province, Department of Puno. The project plans to expand to other alpaca-raising areas in the Puno region, Arequipa, and eventually to Bolivia. In this way, the PAQU tourism agency will be responsible for attracting tourists through our website, social media, and in collaboration with other travel agencies and hotel chains, etc. We will not only provide them with quality service but also offer novel experiences in experiential tourism. Once recruited, we will take tourists to the homes of alpaca-raising families in Ayaviri. Additionally, we will offer sponsorship services for alpaca-raising families to tourists who are more committed to this segment. To determine the economic and financial feasibility of the project, a five-year horizon has been established with an initial investment of S/ 1,573,600. The project yields an NPV of S/ 3,141,042 and an IRR of 51.42%, indicating that the project is viable. In terms of the social impact of the project, it aligns with two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): poverty eradication and reduction of inequalities. The estimated Social NPV is S/ 1,890,370 with a social discount rate of 8.00%, further validating the feasibility of the venture. Having obtained these factors, we consider it advisable to undertake the project, with continuous monitoring of its scope through the developed platform and the benefits obtained by the involved alpaca-raising communities.
