This Research Work consists of analyzing the social intervention of the project “Brilliant Grandparents“ which focuses on the development of psychomotor skills and literacy of Elderly people living in the Human Settlement 7 de Octubre in San Jacinto, El Agustino. The Project started in July 2015, as an initiative of a group Telefónica del Perú employees, who positioned themselves as a “Consolidated Project” by 2017, after having won funds from Fundación Telefónica. Currently, the project has become independent from Fundación Telefónica, with the end of the investment cycle in 2018. Nevertheless, the project continues to operate with the original organizational structure. There were some activities reduced due to financing issues and the lower participation of volunteers, though. The interest in this study arises because of its good results and the close experiences reported by volunteers. The project’s success has been published in the media as well as Fundación Telefonica’s social networks. This study focuses on publicizing and promoting positive actions, regarding the elderly, considered one of the most vulnerable population as they lack policies to ensure them a fair life quality. The research objective is: “To identify the positive aspects of the Brilliant Grandparents project, which generates benefits for a community of elderly residents in Yerbateros - El Agustino“. The methodology used is qualitative, as it adapts and provides flexibility to achieve the research objectives. Based on external knowledge of the project, it is attributed, initially, that one of the success factors is the inclusion of technology in the class sessions with the Elderly people. However, after the internal investigation, the evidence collected shows that the essence of the project is the human and holistic perspective reflected in the approach of the volunteers with the users, which results in the improvement of their quality of life, in terms of recognition of dignity, sense of belonging in the community, and empowerment, among other benefits.
