Addressing the topic of socioemotional skills in education highlights its relevance in the learning process. In this context, it is crucial to explore the strategies that teachers employ in the classroom to promote the development of socioemotional skills, recognizing the teaching role as a fundamental pillar in the comprehensive education of students. Likewise, the research examines the strategies that teachers use to develop socioemotional skills in boys and girls in the first-grade classroom through the question: What strategies do teachers apply to develop socioemotional skills in firstgrade students in the context of classroom interactions? From this, the primary objective is to identify, describe, and finally analyze the strategies that teachers apply to develop socioemotional skills in first-grade students during classroom interactions. It is worth noting that the methodology employed is qualitative and descriptive, utilizing the interview instrument. Regarding the conclusions, the results highlight effective teaching strategies, such as emotional communication and the promotion of empathy, to develop socioemotional skills in first-grade students. Additionally, the crucial role of teachers and strategies like observation and imitation emerge as fundamental.
