ABSTRACT This investigation has the general objective improve warehouse management to control costs in the company ALVI EIRL Industrial Security. This research was developed with information obtained by the company Industrial Safety ALVI EIRL, in the period between August 2015 and August 2016, which served as the foundation to start with this project, in order to control costs using methodology ABC, sales forecasting, inventory turnover, safety stock, reorder point and cost control indicators such as economic value of inventory, service level, and volume purchases. All this is proposed to avoid using empirical methods warehouse management as it currently takes place, leading to poor inventory management and as a result low cost control. The investigation began with the diagnosis of the current situation of the company to meet the deficiencies within warehouse management and cost control, in order to design and implement a proposal to improve management processes and consolidate adequate cost control as part of good management of their inventories. To complement and consolidate the proposal has designed a new distribution of physical store, warehouse optimization of route, using tools such as Kardex, updated physical inventory records and implementation of the methodology of 5S. It has also designed a budget implementation in three possible scenarios to determine its economic feasibility, which is of S/. 26,008.00. In its normal scenario with a NPV of S/. 17,918.15; an IRR of 63.52% (33.13% higher than COK) and an IR 1.69. In the worst-case scenario with a NPV of S/. 4,740.30; an IRR of 35.35% (33.13% higher than COK) and an IR 1.18. And in his Optimist with a NPV of S/. stage. 20,111.46; an IRR of 68.19% (33.13% higher than COK) and an IR 1.77. It is in favorable results thus ensure investment.
