It is necessary to inspire and to promote the living-type building creation destined to offer housing, comfort and safety to the increasing university population of our company. This is the basis for this present architectural project called “Residential Building“ which arises from the need to offer a safe alternative to the students, with all the comfort and at the same time the exchange of cultural experiences among them. The preliminary design is not only directed to the building of housing for students but as a space to perform academic activities, and, simultaneously, to have spaces of entertainment and tranquility. The building is divided into six modules and only two of them are T-rooms. The spaces are multifunctional and versatile, helping this way to the diverse tasks that the users might develop. The other modules will be indispensable to be able to offer conveniences to each one of the students. (Counting on gym, dining room, library, viewpoint, etc.). Due to the proximity with the UPN, the project will be possible to develop in an integral way giving convenient support to more students. The methodology developed in the present thesis is based on the application of the variables of investigation to the project, which has been measured through a study of cases by obtaining the factors that determine that the Residential Building for Students comply with a good location and thermal comfort.
