The objective of the current non-experimental research was to determine the relationship between strategies in conflict management and conjugal violence in women with partners. A descriptive correlational design was adopted, with a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 169 women with partner of Salaverry district “Vaso de Leche” Committee to whom the Conflict Management Strategies Scale of Arnaldo (2001) was applied which is composed of 79 closed-response Likerttype response items, with five response options ranging from 1 (Never) to 5 (Always), with seven component factors: Negotiation / Communication, Self-Modification, Affection, Avoidance, Reflective Rational, Accommodation and Separation. The other instrument was the Risk Assessment Questionnaire to Apply in Cases of Violence of Couple (“Centro de Emergencia Mujer”). The results show, after the application of Speaman's correlation test, the existence of a direct correlation between the Avoidance Strategy (.33) of conflict management and Marital Violence, with medium TE, followed by Negotiation / Communication (- .18), Affect (-.17) and Accommodation (.13), all with Small effect size. Finally, Affect strategy was found as the predominant one in women, with 25.4%. It is concluded that the Avoidance strategy is the one that most relates to conyugal violence; likewise, Affect being the predominant strategy (25.4%), and finally, the population presented a low level of Risk of Violence.
