ABSTRACT This research has as main objective to determine which are the thermal comfort criteria to be considered in the design of the building envelope for application in an architectural proposal for a cultural center for the city of Trujillo. This objective is based on the measurement of hygrothermal variables such as weather, emperature, humidity and wind speed. The type of research used is descriptive. Applied research is experimental methodology based on Case Analysis. This document is mainly composed of three parts. The first part defines the problem because of which arises the need for this research, the rationale and objectives to be achieved by the result of this work. Theoretical concepts relevant to the study variables are described in the second part. The third part presents the analysis of two cultural centers: PUCP and Atacama Cultural Center, concluding with the aspects that form the basis of the architectural proposal for a cultural center for the city of Trujillo based on your design envelope and thermal comfort, hus achieving, promote and contribute to a better realization of the cultural activities of its users.
