Abstract: La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo diseñar el modelo wavestar para mejorar el suministro de energía eléctrica en la playa Costanera- Huanchaco a partir de la metodología descriptiva- transversal-aplicativa que consiste en aplicar una encuesta a la población del lugar para saber la percepción acerca del modelo, analizar el comportamiento del oleaje del mar de Huanchaco y sus parámetros como la altura y periodo de la ola, aplicándose ecuaciones para olas de corta distancia. También se realizó la descripción general del modelo, se determinó el presupuesto para su instalación y evaluación económica. Asimismo, se halló la demanda de potencia que genera el prototipo y la potencia que requieren las viviendas consideradas en la presente tesis. Resultando que el 80 % de la población expresa su aceptación con esta fuente de energía renovable. Se evidenció que el flujo de energía y la energía total son adecuados porque tanto la altura de olas de Huanchaco como la del caso argentino, base de esta investigación, oscilan entre 1m y 2m. El modelo brinda una generación de 30 kW por boya. Finalmente, se concluye que en esta investigación la energía undimotriz puede generar energía eléctrica y el proyecto es viable.
The aim of this investigation was to evaluate wave generation to improve the electricity supply on the Costanera - Huanchaco beach by using the descriptive-applicative-transversal methodology that consists of applying a survey to the local population to find out the perception of the wave energy prototype, analyze the behavior of the Huanchaco sea waves and its parameters such as height and wave period by applying those parameters equations for short-distance. The general description of this model was also made, the budget for the installation of the wave prototype and the economic evaluation were determined; likewise, the power demand generated by the prototype was found, and finally the power required by the homes considered in this thesis. As a result, it was obtained that 80% of the population accepts this project as a renewable sustainable energy. It was evidenced that the energy flow and the total energy are adequate because both the wave height of Huanchaco and that of the Argentine case, the basis of this investigation, range between 1m and 2m. The model provides a generation of 30 kW per buoy. Finally, it is concluded that in this research wave energy can generate electrical energy and the project is viable.
