The present investigation aims to determine the differences of the personality disorders according to sex in sentenced for homicide of the penitentiary of Huacariz of Cajamarca in the year 2017. This research was non-experimental with a comparative design, which consisted of 52 inmates of the Huacariz prison in Cajamarca (42 men and 10 women) who were given the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI-II), adapted to Peru by Solis (2007). To obtain the results of the nvestigation histograms with curves of normality were used to determine the distribution of the sample and Student's t test for independent samples and Choen’s d. Finally, we conclude that there are medium and statistically significant differences in personality disorders in men and women, with women having the highest scores; Likewise, as regards the clinical patterns of the personality, small differences were found that were not statistically significant, with the men obtaining the highest scores. Regarding the severe pathology of the personality, small differences were not statistically significant, where the men obtained a higher score.
