The objective of the research was to design an optimal rock placement program for the planning of waste dumps of a gold mine in the La Libertad region, 2020, since a problem was observed related to the lack of planning to optimize the discharge of clearance. The sample consisted of the 02 rock waste dumps from the open pit gold mine in the La Libertad region. To carry out the information processing, we worked with the technique of documentary analysis, observation and among the methods used were the analytical, systemic method and three mixed programming models (MIP): OP location optimization model, TB truck use model and COMBO reaching the following result: The dump design will reduce the demand for material by 25%, reduce the transport distance by 9.7% and increase the productivity of the truck by 12.6%. Concluding that MIP models are capable of generating optimal rock placement programs in waste discharge planning from numerical and graphic solutions.
