If it is a question of verifying the structural conditions of a newly constructed bridge before commissioning, it is necessary to apply load tests in accordance with national regulations, which require the application of load tests on new bridges, but it does not indicate the procedure to perform such tests. It is in this sense that we resort to the “recomendaciones para la realización de pruebas de carga de recepción en puentes de carretera” of the Ministry of Public Works of Spain, a document that details the procedure to perform the static and dynamic load tests. This thesis presents the application of the Spanish recommendations for the realization of static load tests on the bridge over the Huaura road interchange of the Huacho - Pativilca section of the Red Vial 5 of the Panamericana Norte. For a better understanding of this thesis, the development was made through three specific objectives: The procedure to carry out the static load test is presented, based on the Spanish recommendations for carrying out static load tests for the reception of bridges on the road. Develop the Calculation Memory of the static load test. Determine the maximum and remaining deflections as well as compare them with those obtained theoretically. Once the data has been obtained and evaluated, the results are analyzed by concluding the construction of the bridge and ensuring that it is capable of supporting the loads with which the bridge was designed, recommending that the bridge can be put into service.
