The project is part of preventive maintenance concepts, primarily within the lubrication system. This issue has now taken vital because new trends occurring in the field of the lubrication, which include modern techniques and machinery lubrication oil analysis in order to improve the reliability of the machinery or asset a company. The joint study is pleased coimolache mining a Peruvian company that began operations in 1995, is engaged in gold mining in Peru and consist of three partners: Buenaventura mining company, Southern Peru Corporation and Espro. With the acquired theoretical preventive maintenance a diagnosis was made of the current management of the lubrication system of the company was found among other problems associated with component failure lubrication. Among the mains causes include lubrication program, the lubrication process and procedures used to perform lubrication tasks which directly affect the life of the components. This has raised two proposals for improvement. The first a new program of lubrication which enables better control of the resources this program will be based on the manufactures recommendations. The second proposal is to design a lubrication system that start with proper lubricant selection, storage, application to final disposition. The results that were obtained are: Implementation of best practices lubrication and contamination control Saving cost and achieves savings in the maintenance area. Precise control of activities related to lubrication. We have worked on two different scenarios which are not improve reliability and only maintained if the lubricant is not accepted by management. It has made the cost-benefit analysis of the proposals referred to assess the possible outcome if they are launched. Finally we present the conclusions arrived at by this research project and recommendations to be considered by the company should implement the proposal.
