The present research was carried out in the city of Trujillo at the Private University of the North the analysis and structural design in reinforced concrete using Etabs and Safe software of a five-story building Trujillo - La Libertad, 2023, the thesis was carried out using a non-experimental design - descriptive, the instruments used were soil laboratory equipment, software such as Etabs, Safe AutoCAD and Excel. The data were analyzed using the quantitative method. The research problem is that Trujillo is located in seismic zone 4, a zone vulnerable to seismic events. Therefore, it is necessary to foresee loss of human life and material losses, i.e., an adequate seismic analysis and design of the structures in future building projects should be carried out. The structural analysis complies with standard E.030, the design shear obtained by scaling the dynamic earthquake with 90% of the static earthquake is 204.66 for the X direction and 153.49 for the Y direction. The design of the structural elements was carried out using a combination of envelope loads, while the design of the slabs was carried out using gravity loads, all complying with design standard E.060.
