For years until today the world is going through environmental pollution in which one of the impacts that contribute to it is the PET plastic, by the same fact that it does not degrade easily and is massively produced, so this research was based on using this polymer in an influential way in civil engineering recycling and providing a proposal for a better use, in this case planting percentages of addition to the subgrade of unpaved roads in a district in the north of the country, Piura. For this research was carried out in a non-probabilistic manner by convenience using the convenience selection method using a study sample in a district in the north of the country - Piura; being experimentally investigated the natural soil and adding PET plastic at 3.40%, 4.40% and 5.40% giving a grand total of 24 trials. The tests were carried out in the soil laboratory of the private university of the north, in which the soil study of the natural sample obtained the CBR in 5.83% of 100% of the MDS, therefore it is recommended to improve the soil of the subgrade since it does not have the minimum required stipulated by the MTC, which is 6% By adding 3.40% and 4.40% of the PET plastic to the natural soil, I increase more than 3% of the resistance of the subgrade in 100% of the maximum dry density, improving it by developing what the MTC of 2014 dictates, instead in the addition 5.40% resistance under 0.83% which is not convenient and is not allowed. In conclusion with the results obtained, the best alternative for the use of this element is to add 3.40% of the PET plastic because the CBR at 100% and 95% is still greater than the 6% requested by the MTC, giving an optimal result. and a part that contributes entirely to the environment.
