The objective of this thesis was to determine the influence of the implementation of Quantex technology to reduce costs in blasting processes in the Cerro Corona, Hualgayoc mining project in 2017. It was possible to determine that the blasting carried out with Quantex technology, give us satisfactory results in fragmentation, detonation velocity and the no presence of nitrous gases at a lower cost. The research developed is non- experimental, correlational with transversal design. In our hypothesis, the independent variable is Quantex technology and the dependent blasting costs. According to the results obtained in the 15 projects of the sample, we can validate our hypothesis and determine that Quantex technology positively influences the reduction of blasting costs, which are the following: the total savings in the 15 sample projects was $ 24,473.00; The average savings in the 15 sample projects was $ 19.9 per drill. On the fragmentation we have that the average P80 obtained in the 15 projects was 115.8 mm and finally in the sample the NO presence of nitrous gases was evidenced. Concluding that the implementation of Quantex technology compared to Heavy ANFO is more favorable to optimize resources and achieving a reduction in costs in the blasting process.
