Objective: To determine the association between sociodemographic factors and the level of knowledge about the use of contraceptive methods in adolescents treated in a Private Medical Center in the district of Lurín, Lima- 2020. Material and Methods: A study with a quantitative approach was carried out Descriptive cross-sectional, correlational scope and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 150 adolescents who were selected by the type of non-probabilistic sampling for convenience; For data collection, a survey was developed that had two parts, the first collected information associated with the variable of sociodemographic factors and in the second part, aimed at collecting the level of knowledge about the use of contraceptive methods in adolescents. Results: The main sociodemographic factors found in the sample of adolescents are: that 57.3% are 19 years old (p <0.05), 67.3% are female (p <0.05), 92% are single in marital status (p <0.01), 38.7% have a high school education level (p <0.05), 58% are Catholic by religion (p <0.05), 54 % do not work (p <0.05) and 53.3% live with their parents (p <0.01). Regarding the level of knowledge about the use of contraceptive methods, 52.7% present a high level, 44% a medium level and 3.3% a low level. Conclusions: It is determined that there is a highly significant statistical association of age, sex, educational level, work and religion practiced by adolescents (p <0.05) with the level of knowledge about the use of contraceptive methods in adolescents.
