In every company it is important to have an inventory control strategy that optimizes your needs and requirements, to offer reasonable assurance of the achievement of objectives and established goals. The objective of the research was to determine how the control of inventories of raw material influences profitability in the company Corporación Vasco S.A.C, San Martín de Porres, 2017. The study is part of nonexperimental, quantitative research. The sample for the investigation is made up of four collaborators directly linked to the topic to be treated. As a result of this thesis, it can be affirmed that in order to obtain an adequate control, one must have clearly defined inventory processes and policies that allow to efficiently improve the activities carried out in the company. Internal control standards were proposed for the inventory of products in process of the company. In conclusion, it has been determined that the control of inventories of raw material influences the profitability of the company, in a negative way since they do not have the processes and policies of inventories of raw material defined. Therefore, they have an inventory of high raw material, this entails greater investment, which affects the profitability of the company.
