ABSTRACT The present study is called Comparative analysis of the headlines of the main informative notes of the printed and digital editions of the Trujillo industry newspaper during the phenomenon el Niño Costero - 2017 aims to identify the differences and similarities of the main news headlines of both media in order to determine which of these two platforms: printed and digital are closer to reality. For this, a selection was made through the publication time of the newspaper: before, during and after el Niño Costero phenomenon, leaving 37 headlines for both media. Then, in order to determine their differences and similarities of these headlines, an observation form was elaborated based on a new classification and elements that make up the headline proposed by López Hidalgo; likewise, determine if, in the digital medium, the Industry complies with the use of hypertextuality, multimedia and interactivity proposed by the author Yezers'ka. The results showed that digital headlines are closer to reality, while printed headlines are more general. However, the digital medium does not take advantage of the use of hypertextuality, multimedia and interactivity.
