The objective of this research is to analyze the discharge coefficient for different hydraulic loads in two thick-walled dumps of the Chonta Cajamarca River, for which hydraulic modeling of these was carried out, taking into account translational scales (geometric, kinematic and dynamics) from the model to the prototype and vice versa, the topographic survey of the two structures was carried out to determine the shape of the ridge (geometric scale), three gauges were also made with current meter and three measurements of the hydraulic load at the same time (scale kinematics and dynamics), all this transferred to the channel of variable slope in the hydraulics laboratory of the Universidad Privada del Norte, in which the hydraulic load measured with a vernier installed in said channel is varied, to at the same time calculate the flow through volumetric method, the translation scales were applied and thus analyze the discharge coefficient In the two landfills, with these data, equations were determined to calculate the discharge coefficients as a function of P / H (Height of landfill ridge / Hydraulic load) which are the following for landfill 3 - Tartar and for landfill 7 - Sky jump, respectively, C = 0.0016 + 0.0063 + 1.7344 and C = 0.0001 + 0.186 + 1.3976, the hypothesis is confirmed in its entirety.
