At present, it has been detected in a company that provides inspections in the oil and gas sector in its Operations area, which belongs to the service sector, a high cost of operational personnel, in the analysis of the causes of this problem through the diagrams of Ishikawa and Pareto, it was analyzed that the overtime of the operating personnel is the one that generates the greatest impact on operating costs. Therefore, in the present theoretical investigation, our objective will be to be able to investigate on the application of the matrix tools of Kraljic and VSM to carry out a better planning of the services to third parties in the area of operations. We can see that in the Operations area there is not an adequate planning management of the services, which has as a consequence the high overtime of the operational personnel (inspectors), since it is a service company, it always takes great relevance. to be able to optimize their operating costs so that they can be more competitive in the market. The application of the tools already mentioned for the solution of our problem, will be supported by 20 scientific articles that were applied in different industries in America and Europe, where optimal results were obtained.
