ABSTRACT This research is based on a proposal for an energy saving program in the metalworking production process in the company Ipsycom Engineers S.R.L. to decrease energy costs, such operate that are being proposed will allow to optimize the best use of energy and generate economic savings to the company. interviews with the research project information was compiled by technical visits, interviews with the manager, supervisors and operators responsible, observation and mediation teams in each area. several actions to consider, as the savings benefits that can be achieved by implementing more efficient lamps such as fluorescent LED, changing tariff option BT5B Nonresidential to BT5a, use of more efficient engines from 86% to 95% are shown, implementing drivers or distribution lines more efficient continuous development of productive maintenance to ensure that machines have stops and lost production time. a plan and a savings program which will be fulfilled during the 5 years estimated for the research project is also proposed. The implementation of best may represent a reduction in turnover annually up to 30%, improving good practices and efficient use of energy. To make the implementation of this research project you will have to invest the amount of S/.20 890,00, analyzing and concluding with the proposed cash flow indicators obtain as current net value (NPV) S /. 8 121,47, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 29 % and a rate of return of S /. 1,65 which for each sun invested by the company there is a return of S /. 0,65, in favor, for a period of 5 years, starting with the year 2016 as year of implementation and recovering investment in the period of 2 year and 4 months. It is concluded that the indications show that for the proposal is viable for implementation, so that a reduction is achieved in the cost of electricity bills, reduced power and better awareness power efficient use of energy by all company staff.
