ABSTRACT This research has the overall objective to determine the effect of implementing a system of quality control QA / QC in the analysis of geological samples to increase the degree of reliability of laboratory results, the company Anglo American-Quellaveco The project was developed by gathering information from the company especially in the drilling campaign on 2009. which has served as an indispensable basis for developing this project. The effect of implementing a system of quality control QA / QC aimed reliability of the information sent by the laboratory and which is used for the estimation of resources and reserves. In this paper the implementation of a system of quality control QA / QC in the analysis of geological samples to increase the degree of confidence of laboratory results is presented, and its implications are detailed in the prevention and detection of errors, with emphasis on the analysis of the samples. The effect of implementing a quality control system QA / QC had the results, high correlation coefficients for duplicates of thick pulps plus the values of the reference samples for laboratory reported have been adjusted to the originally expected without major problems.
