The purpose of this research was to characterize the mineralogy of the Milagros vein so that the existing ore minerals, forms, occurrences, and their relationship with the gangas can be identified, for metallurgical benefit purposes, the study had a quantitative - Qualitative approach It was of the applicative type, of correlational scope and of non-experimental design. The investigation was carried out with a total of 21 samples, with procedures established for each stage of the analysis, in the field the mapping of the lithology, alterations, sampling and taking of specimens was carried out, in the laboratory it was possible to identify and characterize the minerals that make up the Milagros Vein, through the use of a microscope and the software that allowed taking the photomicrographs, to perform 13 detailed microscopic studies, a sample was analyzed with the automated Zeiss Mineralogic software in England to verify the characterized minerals. In addition, flotation tests were carried out to analyze the behavior of the minerals bearing economic elements and to evaluate the recovery percentage of each one of them. In this thesis work, 13 samples are analyzed that through their characterization will help to determine the best metallurgical process for the extraction and recovery of the Milagros Vein. Opting to carry out flotation tests due to the majority percentages of sulfides highlighting in each step the importance of microscopic studies to improve the use of the information contained in an optical microscopy study obtained through mineralogical assemblages, minerals bearing economic elements, textures, etc.
