Objective: To determine the relationship between breastfeeding attitudes and practices in mothers with children under 2 years of age in a health facility in Comas - 2023. Methodology: it had a quantitative approach, descriptive correlational and cross-sectional design, the sample consisted of 201 mothers, the survey was used as a technique and as an instrument a 15-item questionnaire using a Likert scale whose validity was Aiken's V=0.80 and reliability with Cronbach's Alpha=0.556 and a dichotomous observation sheet of 10 items whose validity was Aiken's V=0.85 and reliability by means of Cronbach's Alpha=0.814. Results: The results showed that 57.7% of the mothers presented favourable attitudes and 45.3% showed regular practices, likewise, with respect to the dimension cognitive attitudes and breastfeeding practices it was found that they were favourable with 72.1% and good in 29. 9% respectively, similarly, for affective attitudes and breastfeeding practices it was obtained that 72.1% were favourable and 30.8% performed good practices, finally, for behavioural attitudes and breastfeeding practices favourable attitudes were found in 73.6% and good practices were observed in 30.3% of the respondents. Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a significant, moderate positive dominance relationship between attitudes and their dimensions with breastfeeding practices.
