ABSTRACT The present investigation, with a non-experimental descriptive cross-sectional design and with a qualitative approach, has the purpose of determining the biophilic architecture criteria that can be applied to generate health enhancing effects in the design of a rehabilitation center for adults with motor disability. The independent variable was analyzed based on documentary records, in which they describe the concepts and effects that each indicator generates. For the analysis of the independent variable a casuistic study was carried out in sanitary spaces As a result, the criteria of biophilic architecture that generate health enhancing effects are identified. These criteria are the presence of water, presence of vegetation, use of natural materials and lighting of the space by natural light; The effects they generate are the fluidity of the body's domain, pain reduction, relaxation and rest state, stress reduction and positive visual, sound and tactile responses. Specific design guidelines were instituted, which are directly oriented to the indicators of the independent variable. In this way premises are created to guide the design of the rehabilitation center. A potential terrain for the development of the architectural echo is identified based on preliminary studies, biophysical factors and normativity. Likewise, a study is made of the effective applicant population that will make use of the rehabilitation center making a 10-year population projection; At the same time, the architectural programming is defined where areas, areas and capacity are identified. Finally, they apply the specific design guidelines, referring to the biophilic architecture that generate health enhancing effects, in the rehabilitation spaces of the building. This research will form a contribution of inquiry for the design of more humanised healthcare spaces, taking into account in addition to the functional aspect, the psychomotor needs of the user.
