ABSTRACT During the last few years while the world Peruvian economy slows down, franchise businesses continue to expand at an incredible speed. Approximately, more than 60% of franchises in the country are foreigners and 37 % of this total is from United States; in addition to the recognized brands installed in the country like McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, many brands are joining the franchises boom in Peru. This study includes a technical, economic, financial and legal study in order to gather all the necessary information to determine the feasibility of the implementation and installation of the sandwich franchise, Subway in the city of Trujillo, which is currently located in the city of Lima. This research serves as encouragement and support material for those people interested in investing in franchises linked to the food industry, Subway is the largest chain franchise in the world and has 38000 locals in 99 countries, it was founded on 1965 in United States, it is located in South America in many different countries like Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile and others. It intends to enter the fast food market through an installed module on the Real Plaza Trujillo mall on Trujillo district - La Libertad department. In the present study, the data was collected through quantitative and qualitative research through fieldwork determining current customer preferences, needs and existing bidders watching in the city, the main barriers to entry and the high requirement capital for the installation and the local equipment. The economic analysis of the project to install a fast food module on Real Plaza Trujillo mall, yielded positive results in terms of NPV and IRR of business, becoming an attractive idea to invest in a franchise like Subway. However, there are several requirements that are need to be followed so the main company let operate as a franchise, such as a high amount of liquid capital to start up, monthly payment of royalty and advertising and several national legal requirements, environmental regulations by the fast food sector in the local area and other requirements that will be discussed throughout this report.
