The general objective of the research was to determine how commercial intelligence allows the identification and selection of a market for the export of tara powder from the Cajamarca Region in the year 2022. It is a basic research, descriptive, with a non-experimental design and transversal; it was used a convenience sampling, determined through a market preselection matrix, taking as samples the statistics of the main countries that imported tara powder at an international, national and regional level during the period 2018-2022, were made graphs and tables with data extracted from pages such as ADEX Data Trade, Trademap, Comtrade, SIICEX, SUNAT and the qualitative point method was applied to evaluate each potential market. The main results show that the countries with the greatest potential to export tara powder are China and Brazil. Concluding that the use of business intelligence tools helps optimize processes, enhance exports and identify potential markets; At a global level, there is a deficit in the trade balance, which implies that there is an unsatisfied market that needs to be covered. On the other hand, Peru's export potential could be affected by the decline in national production and finally the qualitative method by points allows exporters to make decisions based on their interests and capabilities.
