Mejora de la gestión de almacén para la reducción de la merma de papelería y cuadernos de la empresa comercializadora de útiles escolares ubicado en el Centro de Lima, 2019

Abstract

El presente estudio de investigación tiene como objetivo mejorar la gestión de almacén para la reducción de merma de papelería y cuadernos en la empresa comercializadora de útiles escolares. En primer lugar, se realizó un diagnóstico de la situación actual en el área de almacén identificando la causas primarias y secundarias que generan el alto índice de merma, el cual se necesitaron de técnicas e instrumentos para recolección de datos. Luego, se procedió a calcular el impacto económico que genera sobre costos en la empresa. Por consiguiente, se determinó el costo que genera las causas raíces afectando a la empresa en S/496,159.41. Consecuentemente, se desarrolló la mejora de la gestión de almacén respondiendo a cada problemática encontrada. La metodología de mejora que se utilizó fue el Slotting, para ello primero se tuvo que realizar la Clasificación ABC el cual permitió segmentar el inventario según su peso, volumen y rotación para un óptimo almacenamiento. Después, se realizaron ubicaciones estratégicas donde se tomó en cuenta la infraestructura del almacén, pasadizos y entre otros. Por lo tanto, dicha mejora permitió reducir los costos operativos contando con una inversión total de S/20,204.78. La mejora de la gestión de almacén que representa el trabajo de investigación, incluye información como el costo para redistribución y horas hombre. Finalmente, se realizó una evaluación económica y financiera de la propuesta de mejora, considerando el costo de inversión y los beneficios que implican la mejora. El beneficio generado en los meses de septiembre y octubre del año 2019 fue de S/13,521.32, el VAN es de S/309,733.42, siendo el TIR positivo y mayor a la tasa de descuento. En síntesis, todo lo antes mencionado confirma que la propuesta económicamente viable y rentable para la empresa comercializadora de útiles escolares.

The objective of this work is to improve the warehouse management to reduce the waste of stationery and notebooks in the company that sells school supplies. First, a diagnosis of the current situation in the warehouse area was made, identifying the primary and secondary causes that generate the high rate of shrinkage, which required techniques and instruments for data collection. Then, we proceeded to calculate the economic impact on the company's costs. Consequently, the cost generated by the root causes affecting the company was determined at S/496,159.41. Consequently, the improvement of warehouse management was developed in response to each problem found. The improvement methodology used was Slotting, for which first the ABC Classification had to be carried out, which allowed the inventory to be segmented according to weight, volume and rotation for optimal storage. Afterwards, strategic locations were made where the warehouse infrastructure, passageways and others were taken into account. Therefore, this improvement allowed us to reduce operating costs with a total investment of S/20,204.78. The improvement of warehouse management, which represents the research work, includes information such as the cost for redistribution and man-hours. Finally, an economic and financial evaluation of the improvement proposal was carried out, considering the investment cost and the benefits implied by the improvement. The benefit generated in the months of September and October 2019 was S/13,521.32, the NPV is S/309,733.42, being the IRR positive and higher than the discount rate. In summary, all the above mentioned confirms that the proposal is economically viable and profitable for the company that sells school supplies.
