The objective of this research was to establish the relationship between the leadership styles and work motivation of the collaborators of the Customer Service Area of a company in the electricity sector in the north of the country. The research was descriptive and correlational, so a non-experimental cross-sectional design was applied. The type of sample was census, applying the instruments to the entire study population, made up of 20 collaborators. The data collection technique was the survey, and its respective instrument called a questionnaire for each of the variables, designed using the Likert scale with five response levels. For the leadership variable, the Multifactorial Leadership questionnaire (MLQ) form 5X (Bass and Avolio 2004) consisting of 36 statements was used and in the case of the work motivation variable, the questionnaire corresponding to the Work Motivation Scale was used (Steers and Braunstein 1976), composed of 15 statements. The study relied on the quantitative approach, where the reliability analysis yielded Cronbach's Alpha of 0.970 for the leadership variable and 0.932 for the work motivation variable. Excel (results edition), Jamovi (for reliability) and SPSS software were used where the Spearman correlation hypothesis test was performed, where they had a probability greater than the 5% level of significance. After the probabilistic correlational analysis between both variables, it is concluded that there is no significant relationship between leadership styles and work motivation, taking into account the results of statistical tests, where Spearman's Rho is 0.141, this can be verified in the significance of the correlation (sig.>0.05).
