The main objective of this research was to establish the relationship between Organizational Commitment and Emotional Development in Strategic Partners of a Private Security Company of Trujillo. The entire population constituted by 260 male strategic partners, aged between 18 and 53 years, was evaluated, being the type of non-experimental study with Transversal - Correlational design. The Organizational Commitment Questionnaire of Meyer and Allen (1997) and the Adult Emotional Development Questionnaire (QDE-A) of Pérez - Escoda and Bisquerra (2010) were used. Regarding the evaluation of the correlation between the variables under study by the magnitude of the effect size of Spearman's rho correlation, we found evidence that the organizational commitment directly correlates with emotional development (rho = 0.63), with size of large magnitude effect. Likewise, it was found that the dimensions Affective Commitment, Commitment to Continuity and Normative Commitment are directly correlated with Emotional Development and with the dimensions Emotional Consciousness, Emotional Regulation, Emotional Autonomy, Social Competencies, Competencies for Life and Wellbeing, being the effect size of medium magnitude (rho = 0.41) in the affective commitment, of large magnitude in the commitment of continuity (rho = 0.64) and of small magnitude (rho = 0.11) in the Normative Commitment. Finally, it is concluded that the two study variables are related accepting the hypothesis.
