ABSTRACT The present work of professional sufficiency proposes to redistribute the processes of warehouse with the objective of eliminating dead times of unnecessary stops in the process of Picking in order to find greater efficiency in the process. In order to do this, a key process within the warehouse will be evaluated with the chief, area leaders and supervisors, and through a process prioritization table that has critical success factors as variables, it will be determined which process is the one that impacts quantitative way with our proposed strategy. We will apply the knowledge acquired in the course of our professional career and our work performance and also engineering tools that allow us to quantify, analyze and make a good decision making based on the objectivity of the results. In the same way we plan to design a flow chart, a DAP and work procedures, in order to serve as training material for new staff incomes and for this improvement to continue over time. The methodology applied in this study is that formulated by James Harrington, which consists of 5 phases that seek to eliminate errors, minimize delays, promote understanding, are easy to use, reduce excess staff, etc. And, tools such as flowchart, process analysis diagram, fishbone diagram, value-added analysis and process choice box were also used according to the critical factor. According to the history gathered from the warehouse processes, a review was carried out and it was determined that in the productivity of a process a significant percentage influences unnecessary stops, for which it is proposed the redesign of the activities both in the first turn as in the second shift of the warehouse thus achieving a more fluid process. In this project, objectives and achievements were defined along with those responsible for the Picking process, leaders and the warehouse manager, determining that steps in the process did not generate value. As a result, a reduction in order picking time was achieved by 42%, resulting in an increase in productivity per operator, thus achieving a reduction of personnel.
