ABSTRACT This thesis refers to the detailed study of the PEM method, its theoretical aspects, working procedures, experiences in the production unit Empresa Minera SAC Troy, as well as a cost study of its application. Troy SAC Mining Company mine, where field data is collected for testing of this research. Located in Peru, in the department of Cajamarca, province of Santa Cruz, village Corral Viejo, Sexy district between 1,800 and 2,300 meters. The research is the implementation of system platforms and metal ladders (PEM), in order to reduce production costs in mining production unit Troy SAC. The experience gained in the implementation of 24,000 meters of chimneys System PEM, indicates that this method is technically linked to the productivity of mining work, even when the plans and projections of mining have as goals the search for higher reserves and increased mechanized production. To conclude a schedule in Excel for quick decisions on the results of the costs of running the system chimneys with metal ladders and platforms (PEM) is made.
