This research has as objective: To determine the relationship between barriers and the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in mothers with children under 6 months of age at the Comas Public Hospital, 2020. Methodology: The study was of quantitative approach, of cross-sectional design at a non-experimental correlational level. The study population consisted of 40 mothers with children under 6 months who attended the growth and development service of the Comas Public Hospital. A questionnaire and observation card were used with the value of AIKEN of 1.00 and the reliability of RK-20 with a value of, 756 for the variable Practice and with the value of, 711 for the variable barriers. Results: 40% of the mothers present regular knowledge and practice, 28% of the mother’s present nipple cracks, 48% of the mothers if they produce milk, 35% of the mothers present regular practice and barriers to work and finally 40% of the mother’s present barriers and practice at a regular level. Conclusions: Barriers do relate to the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in mothers with children under 6 months of age at the Comas Public Hospital, 2020.
