This thesis aims to determine the relationship between the variables of “passive architectural design criteria“ and “Lon Works building automation system“ in the design of a business center in the province of Trujillo. To this end, a research methodology of causal descriptive and projective character was used, using analytical tools such as tabs for case analysis, choice of ground and theoretical bases; then be applied in architectural design. The results were determining factors relevant design to architecture projected, based on variables and indicators of study, these results are: location, architectural envelope, energy saving systems, and design guidelines for the inclusion of a building automation system the concept of sustainable architecture, then the optimal way for the project located in the district of Trujillo, in an area of urban expansion, in order to consolidate financial sector in the province was determined. The results determine that there is a direct relationship between the study variables, as both can project a sustainable architecture, as both variables respond to the use of natural energy through the study of sunlight and wind, within the typology of offices, making including automation systems for energy management in an architectural project.
