y 0.81 kg/cm2
de resistencia a
compresión y flexión respectivamente.
This investigation has been carried out with the purpose of determining the mechanical properties of compression, bending and absorption of adobe compacted by incorporating natural polymer of penca in percentages of 5%, 6% and 7%. First laboratory tests were carried out to determine the properties of the earth to elaborate the compacted adobe, then the adobe patterns and the adobes were elaborated with the different percentages of additives of 5%, 6% and 7%. The results obtained from the compression tests show that the adobes with the additive in the different percentages increase up 62.64% with respect to the adobes of the standard sample which is 14.55 kg/cm 44.46% on the adobes patrones that is of 14.8 kg/cm 2 , in the bending tests it reaches even in a 2 . The adobes subjected to absorption with natural additive of penca in percentages 5%, 6% and 7% manage to resist, however, the adobe standards fail to pass the test. It is evident that the hypothesis has been exceeded with respect to 10%, this indicates that the natural polymer of penca helps to improve the mechanical properties and absorption of the adobe, complying with the data presented in the E.080 standard that are 10.2 kg/cm respectively. 2 and 0.81 kg/cm 2 of resistance to compression and flexion.
