ABSTRACT This project was born from the need to improve the quality of tests conducted in the laboratories of Soil Mechanics, Concrete and Hydraulics of Universidad Privada Del Norte - based Cajamarca, due to the lack of documentary control, records and not count with defined procedures; this does not allow an administrative technique capable of providing increased data collection to improve control and management of their processes. To start the evaluation, a survey (after validation by Cronbach's alpha and convert this survey on a rating scale of Likert ) aimed at users regarding the perception of the laboratories was made, this was done in two stages, first to student and later a teacher. As a result, a FODA analysis that identified areas for improvement in the short term was developed. The assessment showed a level of positive perception in areas such as equipment and technical capacity of responsible laboratories, contrariándose with the negative perception in areas such as logistics, care and regulations. Therefore, proposals for improvements proposed to achieve the parameters of each of the operational processes, with the prospect of starting a process of continuous improvement of laboratories (as an organization ) in a complex, demanding environment and constantly change made by focusing on quality management. To this base it was used standard ISO / IEC 17025: 2005, ISO 9000: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and Peruvian technical standards of the tests performed in each laboratory.
