The fashion industry has brought as a consequence an enormous growth, due to the fast fashion system used by the companies in the sector nowadays. Since this system has led to the production and consumption of more and more low-cost garments with a short lifespan, it has made them more accessible for consumers to purchase, and is not unrelated to the workers' rights issues it has affected. To carry out this research, information about sustainable fashion was first collected at the international level and then at the national level. The main objective of this research project is to identify whether sustainability is a factor in fashion buying decisions of women aged 20 - 35 in Metropolitan Lima. The research is of a descriptive - transversal type, since descriptive studies seek to specify important properties and characteristics of any phenomenon such as the incursion of sustainability in fashion. The factors involved in the decision to purchase and sustainability are reflected positively in the decision to purchase garments versus sustainability.
