Objective: To determine the factors associated with the use of contraceptive methods in adolescents of the Santa Luzmila II Maternal and Child Center, Comas-Lima 2022. Material and methods: The research approach was quantitative, non-experimental, analytical, prospective, cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 52 adolescents whose ages are between 11 and 19 years old, who began their sexual life. Two groups of adolescents who use and do not use contraceptive methods were formed. The instrument was a questionnaire validated by expert judgment. Results: Sociodemographic, reproductive and institutional factors did not present a statistically significant association with the use of contraceptive methods. The cultural factor: religion (p=0.03) presented a statistically significant association with the use of contraceptive methods. In the characteristics of use, the male condom is the most used contraceptive method (37.8%), the decision to use MAC is their own (57.8%) and that a professional other than the doctor, obstetrician and nurse, are the ones who they indicate and/or apply contraceptive methods (60%). Conclusion: The cultural factor: religion presented a statistically significant association with the use of contraceptive methods.
