The objective of this study was to determine the factors that influence the self-medication of students of the 8th, 9th and 10th cycle of the nursing career, private university - Lima, 2023. Methodology: the study applied a quantitative approach, non-experimental cross-sectional design and as a scope, the descriptive level was developed, likewise, the sample was made up of 154 students from the 8th, 9th and 10th cycle of the nursing career, in addition, the survey was applied as a study technique and the questionnaire as an instrument. Results: Factors that influence self-medication were identified, where 48.05% have bad self medication factors, 44.16% regular and 7.79% have good self-medication factors. Likewise, the factors with the highest prevalence were the monetary reserve for health, coverage towards health needs, the influence of friends and family for drug use and poor care habits. Conclusion: It was identified that the factors with the greatest influence on self-medication are social and behavioral factors, since they obtained a rating of bad, while economic factors influence regularly.
