ABSTRACT Objective: To determine the factors that influence the abandonment of micronutrient consumption in mothers of girls and children under 36 months, health center of San Martin de Porres - 2019. Methodology: The type of study was quantitative approach, descriptive level, cross-sectional design, for data collection the survey and the instrument, the questionnaire, was used as a technique. The population consisted of 50 mothers of children under 36 months of age who came to growth and development control. Results: Statistically proven results were: 90% (45) mothers surveyed say they sometimes give up micronutrient intake, 8% (4) mothers surveyed say they always give up micronutrient intake and 2% (1) mother surveyed states that it never gives up micronutrient consumption, The 52%(26) mothers surveyed show in the sociocultural dimension that they never give up micronutrients, a 46%(23) mothers surveyed refer that they sometimes abandon micronutrients and the 2%(1) mother surveyed expresses that they always abandon micronutrients, The 72%(36 of the mothers surveyed manifest in the cognitive dimension that they sometimes leave micronutrients, a 26%(13) of the mothers surveyed refer that they always abandon micronutrients and 2% (1) mother surveyed expresses that they never give up micronutrients and 84(42) of the mothers surveyed manifest in the nutritional dimension that they sometimes abandon micronutrients, 14%(7) of the mothers respondents say that they always abandon micronutrients and a 2%(1) respondent's mother reports that they never give up micronutrients.
