The objective of this thesis was to evaluate the air quality (PM2.5, PM10, CO, SO2, NO2 and noise) generated by the production of calcium oxide in the Juan de Dios I calera. The type of research was quantitative, because the concentration of particles in suspension, gases and generation noise was analyzed and then compared with the maximum permissible limits. The monitoring was carried out on Monday, the day of high production, which is a non- working day in the calera. The automatic method technique was used to determine the gas concentration and the spectrometry method to determine the noise concentration. It was determined that the concentration of particles in suspension PM2.5 on average was 3.06 μg/m3 and for PM10 on average it was 4.20 μg/m3. The SO2 concentration was on average 1.61 μg/m3, for CO it was 2529.16 μg/m3 and for NO2 it was 69.34 μg/m3. The noise level on average was 50.90 Dba, in none of the cases exceed or approach the environmental quality standard. The main sources of air pollution are crushing, blasting, burning limestone, burning coal, transport and crushing
