ABSTRACT The objective of the research is to determine the level of knowledge about tuberculosis of patients belonging to the National Health Strategy for Prevention and Control of Tuberculosis of a Health Center of San Martin de Porres - 2019. Methodology: Quantitative approach, descriptive and transversal design. The population of the study was consisting of 30 patients. The data was obtained by means of the survey technique and as an instrument the questionnaire, validated by expert judgment with a result of 0.95% confidence and reliability by Cronbach's alpha 0.84. Results: Of a total of 30 patients, 56.7% were women and 43.3% were men. 46.7% have a high level of knowledge about the definition dimension, 40.0% have a level of regular knowledge and 13.3% have a low level. 56.7% have a high level of knowledge about the clinical manifestations dimension, 23.3% a level of regular knowledge and 20.0% a low level. 53.4% have a high level of knowledge about the pharmacological treatment dimension, 23.3% a level of regular knowledge, and 23.3% a low level. 50.0% have a high level of knowledge about the care dimension in the home, 33.33% a regular level, and 16.67% a low level. 63.33% obtained a high level of knowledge about the dimension of preventive measures and 36.67% a level of regular knowledge. Finally, according to the results on the level of knowledge about tuberculosis, it is obtained that 46.6% have a high level, 50.0% have a level of regular knowledge and 3.3% have a low level of knowledge.
